A sacroiliac joint injection may be used to help relieve pain that is caused by the sacroiliac joint (where the hip and spine bones meet.) The physician will use a steroid medication to help reduce pain and inflammation in this area. The medication will start providing relief anytime between 3-10 days after the injection.
